HONEYED KELP AND GINGER TEA
This is a revitalising change from herbal teas, used traditionally to help ease anxiety as well as aid digestion. Kelp is packed with vitamins and minerals so I particularly like this to help fight off colds and give me a good old winter-warmer-pick-me-up.
Ingredients
2 cups water
1 tbsp dried chopped (easier with scissors) Kombu
1/2 tsp grated ginger root
1/4 tsp green tea leaves (optional)
Honey to taste
Bring water to the boil. Remove from heat and add kelp, ginger and green tea. Steep for 5 minutes. Strain and sweeten to taste with honey. Makes 2 servings.
