This a great one for children when they are feeling poorly or to get a shot of vital vitamins and minerals into them (especially if they don’t embrace vegetables as strongly as you’d like!). A good soothing option before bed if you’re not hungry but a mug of just warm milk won’t quite cut the mustard!

2 cups milk/ soy milk
1/3 cup carrageen
1 tsp honey to taste
Cloves, cinnamon or nutmeg (optional)

Simmer the milk, cloves/cinnamon/nutmeg and carrageen for 5 minutes, then remove from heat. As the liquid cools it will thicken so either remove the carrageen by pouring through a sieve or take it out with a spoon. Add honey to taste and enjoy!
