Seaweed and sea beets – foraging time

Seaweed and sea beets – foraging time

A bank holiday with amazing weather, we can cope with that. We’ve been a little lower on the radar lately because we’ve been moving offices, setting up new products, trying to replenish old ones and – wait for it – getting ready for our book!

The littlest birds sing the prettiest songs

The littlest birds sing the prettiest songs

Hurrah! The evenings are starting to stretch out their hands; birds tweeting later into the day, as the spring flowers, lunatic rivers and milder days can only mean one thing: foraging is afoot! Mussels are growing and it’s a great time to be foraging for fresh, local produce.

This week is  National Fish and Chip Week, which ties in with Pancake Day to make what could […]

Real snow and fires

At the start of February, we saw the moors dusted with snow and the bright bracken rubbed against our feet, as we went to make snowballs and have fun in the white stuff. We’ve heard the waves are big in Sri Lanka, and Tim is busy in Borneo, and our lovely plants are regenerating and getting strong before harvesting season begins later in the year.

That said, we have had a little trek to the sea…

Plumes circling toward an infinite […]
